"Mr. Day" as I always called him because of the respect he gave and commanded. I have happy memories of him on the tannoy on Sports' day, fire alarm days,school productions, full school "squash" and his dedication to the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice for which he helped raise thousands of pounds through school events.
