There aren’t enough words to describe the impact John has had on me and my family. My arrival at school and going on first year camp to Abersoch started 7 amazing years that ended with an amazing three weeks in Europe with Mr Day leading another legendary trip. During this time he was a PE teacher and I know he was gutted I was rubbish at sport as he knew my dad as a fellow PE teacher. Little did I know at that stage how many more interactions I would have with him in my life as he inspired my children during their education at Wales and again made trips one of the highlights. In recent years the link became stronger again as we were school governors together. So much of the ‘Wales Way’ is down to your passion for the school and young people. Thank you for everything.
