The word "Legend" is often bandied around carelessly these days however John truly was a legend. I have never met another human as caring, honest and fun as John. I remember when I first entered joined the WHS staff and thought everyone was in a cult because they all praised "JD" and never had a negative word to say about him. Once I'd spent some time with the man, I saw why. I am truly grateful to have worked with John and stayed in touch after he "retired". John helped me through a particularly tough time which I will never forget and feel truly honored to be able to call him my friend. Missing him already. John, you will never be forgotten.
