Glenice 30th April 2020

I entered whs in its 2nd year and Mr Day was a dominant figure, he was respected by all. I have amazing memories of him, I travelled beside him on school and asked endless questions, he taught me the theoretical way to drive and through his demonstrations I developed absolute confidence and belief in myself. The first time I sat behind a wheel he was in my head and everything he taught me flooded back, I have been reminded of that special gift everytime I drive 47 years. All my girls have attended whs, Natalie, Sarah, and Christina, he had an influence in all their lives and they are strong confident women. I remember the first child's induction speech he was an amazing inspirational speaker and paved the way for thousands of parents and students. He played the Circle Of Life from the Lion King, this song symbolises the part he played in the history of the school and the lives of all the people he touched it was an honour to have been a part of his life. Much love to him and his family from glenice inns and all my family. Xxxxx
